The ugo avatar security robot is equipped with two arms. The camera is used for monitoring and security, but the robot is also able to call elevators to move up and down between floors. Security staff at the fire command centre can greet people and carry on conversations through the ugo robot.

Feature 01: A sense of presence
The robot can speak greetings to people when it is on sentry duty. The face can display “On patrol” or other messages. The robot can also salute and make other arm movements. Unlike security cameras, robots have a distinctive sense of presence.
Feature 02: Situation monitoring and conversation
It is naturally possible to monitor situations through the ugo camera, but security staff at the fire command centre can also use the microphone and speakers to talk to people and carry on conversations. Security procedures are made more efficient by sharing sentry duties with ugo.
Feature 03: Moving between floor
The robot can use its arms to push buttons and ride elevators on its own. Even if the elevators are not equipped with special sensors, the robot can move up and down between floors when on patrol.
Feature 04: Pandemic response
Essential security workers are in demand even in case of pandemics or other unexpected events. By pairing security guards with the ugo, it is possible to continue security procedures while reducing the risks of face-to-face encounters.
